Band Camp 2015 is in the books, and all that's left this week is our 2015 Band Camp Showcase performance. Come on out and join us tonight on the West Practice Field. Show starts at 5:30 PM. Bring a lawn chair and get ready to enjoy the sound and pageantry of the 2015 Trojan Marching Band. We'd love to have you with us!
(Student call time = 5 PM for warm-ups in the Band Room.)

Wednesday Evening Music Parent Meeting for All Band Students
This meeting is for all band families (even if a student has a Fall Sports Exemption from Marching Band). We will begin at 7:30 PM in the Auditorium.
Need New Marching Band Shoes?
If you are a newcomer to the program and need to order your first pair of marching band shoes, or a returning member who lost or outgrew their shoes, our supplier will be at DGN tonight to size students and take orders. Please see Mr. Paul Phillips between 4:30 – 4:55 PM tonight in the hallway between the Band Room and the exit to the football stadium. This is the only night we are taking orders and recording sizes. We must have your order tonight!
Wednesday Marching Band Schedule
Due to the Freshman Orientation program on Wednesday morning, and the Music Parent meeting on Wednesday night, we follow this schedule:
1:30 – 4:30 PM – Full Marching Band Practice
4:30 – 6:00 PM – Dinner Break
6 – 7:30 PM – Full Marching Band Practice
7:30 – 8:30 – Band students attend Music Parent Meeting with their parents in the Auditorium.
Thursday & Friday Marching Band Practices
Friday Night Marching Band Camp Showcase!
5:00 PM – All Marching Band members report to the Band Room for warm up. Students will wear their 2015 Marching Band T-Shirt (issued on Thursday), White Marching Band ball cap (already issued), shorts, tennis shoes.
5:20 PM – Band will move to the West Practice Field near the Prince Street parking lot.
5:30 PM – Band Camp Showcase Performance for family and friends. Feel free to bring a lawn chair!
6:30 PM (approx.) – Showcase Performance ends.
6:45 PM - ? Band Families invited to “Every Day’s A Sundae” – downtown Downers Grove – for Ice Cream Social. Coupons to be distributed at Wednesday night Parent meeting. (Optional/encouraged participation.)

Hello! We are SO excited to welcome so many new and familiar faces to campus today for the first day of camp with the entire Trojan Marching Band in attendance. Our Student Leadership Team has been working hard all week to get ready for today, as has the Drumline and Color Guard who have just completed their mini-camps.
This morning we welcome newcomers and leaders at 8am. We'll look forward to seeing EVERYONE again this afternoon at 5pm. Tonight's 'Spirit Night' is Section Colors. Newcomers - we'll explain this. Formers - you know what to do! Here's a reminder of your assigned color:

In late May, several small adjustments were made to the schedule originally published in April. To make sure that all families have the most current version of the Band Camp schedule, we are posting the revised schedule again today.
The changes that were made to the original schedule included:
- eliminating the practice originally announced for Sunday, August 16.
- adding a morning rehearsal on Thursday, August 20
- adding a morning rehearsal on Friday, August 21

Trojan Marching Band members are asked to "save the date" for this year's group photograph.
Friday, September 11
1:45 - 2:30 PM
* This is an "early dismissal" day. Students will be dismissed from school at 1:30 PM. Band members will then change for the photograph, and stage in the Field House.
Ordering information will be provided to students and parents later this month.
