Indy 500 Festival Fan Packages Now Available!


Friends and family of the Trojan Marching Band can now sign up for one of two fan packages being offered by Bob Rogers Travel.

Anyone interested in seeing the band peform in the Festival parade on Saturday and the Pre-Race Band Pageant on Sunday can choose a package that includes a two-night stay in Indianapolis AND tickets to the Parade on Saturday and the Race (and Pre-Race Pageant) on Sunday or a package that only includes a two-night stay in Indianapolis. (no tickets to any events are included)

Reservations and payment must be received by Bob Rogers Travel by April 7th.

Winter Guard - 2nd in State




















Congratulations to coach Emily Rivera and the DGN Winter Guard on their performances this past weekend at the IDTA State Competition in Champaign. Our team placed 2nd in the State in the Lyrical Flags category, as well as 2nd in the state in the Tall Flags category. These two accomplishments are the highest state level scores/places in school history.

Chicago Stampede

Members of the Chicago Stampede Drum Line held an open rehearsal this evening in the North High band room, in preparation for several upcoming performances for the Chicago Bulls.

Mike Maschek (pictured above left, and below right) is a 1997 graduate of North High and a four-year member of the bands at DGN, having played in Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble and Marching Band.

The Stampede is comprised of professional drummers that are former members of championship drum corps, including the 7-time World Champion Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps from Rosemont, Illinois, as well as alumni of the Michigan State University and University of Illinois marching bands.

They are known for energetic, trick-filled, "don't try this at home" performances while playing very advanced and appealing music; everything from hip-hop to Latin, all while providing polished choreography and throwing down the craziest beats anyone has ever heard. It is their mission to interact with each and every fan to provide them with live music that they can dance to and an overall experience they will never forget!

You will find the Stampede Drumline "rolling" throughout the United Center at several Bulls games this year. This entertaining act is something that needs to be seen to believe and can't avoid being heard… literally.
