The Coach

This morning the 2012 Trojan Marching Band welcomed Head Football
Coach John Wander to practice. Coach Wander gave the band a preview of
the season to come and thanked band members for their hard work,
dedication, and support of North High. "There is no place quite like
North High anywhere in the state," explained Coach Wander. "We really
appreciate the support our band gives the football team, and we are
here to support you."

Earlier in the morning Mr. Miller addressed the Varsity Football Team
in the Stadium. "We have a long and proud tradition of supporting one
another, and we are geared up and ready to follow you through the
playoffs this year!"

Amidst the worst national drought in 50 years, the rains arrived today at exactly 8 AM as Band Camp 2012 kicked off. Despite the meteorological set-back, the Trojan Marching Band is off to a terrific start. New members and student leaders are working this morning in the field house, learning marching fundamentals. Tonight we welcome back the entire band!

Congrats Alumnus Jesse Backes

Congratulations to DGN Alumnus and former Trojan Marching Band Drum Line Captain, Jesse Backes, on a terrific performance tonight at the Drum Corps International World Championships.
