2021 DGN Band Awards Night Details

DGN Bands Awards Night 2021 - Friday, April 30

Students attending in-person are asked to report to the Main St. Lobby between 6:40 - 6:50 PM. We want to make sure everyone has time to pick up their Awards Night Packet and find a seat in one of the designated seats (on the main floor). Seniors will be seated toward the front of the Auditorium, in a specially designated section. All students will be seated 6' apart from one another, and must remained masked at all times.

Students and/or family members attending from remotely should tune-in to the Cable 99 Broadcast at 7:00 PM.

Attire: There is no specific dress code for this event, however the annual DGN Band Awards are traditionally a semi-formal dinner & awards ceremony. In that spirit, we encourage band members to consider 'dressing up' a bit to signify the importance of the awards. A photo-backdrop will be available for pictures at the event.

Trojan Marching Band Celebrates Hometown Rivalry Victory!

 

The Trojan Marching Band filled the community with cheers and music during the last spring football game of the season as the football team brought home a win against our hometown rivals at Downers Grove South. In recognition of Senior Night, "graduating" principal Mrs. Janice Schwarze was invited to play with the drumline at her last home football game of the year! Thank you for all of your support of the band program during your time at DGN! We will miss you!

A huge "Thank You!" everyone who helped make our two spring marching band performances a reality! From the administrators who gave us the "green light", to Beth Lee running our LiveStream, you all helped make this happen! The smiles we brought to our students and our community and to our team were absolutely worth it!

Trojan Marching Band & Winter Guard Leadership Team | 2021 - 2022

Congratulations to our 2021 - 2022 Trojan Marching Band and Winter Guard Leadership Team!* Many thanks are extended to each and every student who expressed interest and auditioned to serve as leaders. Our students' dedication and commitment to the band program is incredible, and we appreciate the hard work we saw from all of them during the audition process!

Appointing a group of leaders from our program that is already filled with exceptional students who lead all over our campus is a challenging endeavor. Each student who auditioned this year brought their own unique set of leadership skills to the table, and the competition was strong. We're proud to have great leaders of all ages in our program!

*Percussion Leaders will be appointed after auditions on May 10th*

DGN Marching Band "Friday Night Lights"

Thank you to the members of the DGN Trojan Marching Band, and staff, for providing music, energy and spirit for the DGN Football Team and community at this weekend's Spring Football game. Approximately half of the DGN Band students were able to add this performance to their schedule this week, and it was wonderful to see and hear members of Trojan Marching Band!
