Like clockwork, the skies opened up and rain came down just as we were about ready to begin our Band Camp Showcase for parents, family and friends. Not to be deterred, the exhibition and Ice Cream Social were both moved into the DGN Field House.
Congratulations to the members of the 2009 Marching Band for their great work this week, and thank you to Mrs. Box (and all the parent volunteers who assisted her) for organizing our post-performance Ice Cream.
There were not a lot of sunny days during our Band Camp week, but on Wednesday morning a group of recent DGN Band Alumni surprised the faculty and students with an impromptu Lemonade Stand to 'refresh' the hard working members of the band.
Thanks to all who put this together!

at Tuesday night's practice. "We have a really special thing here at
North," said Mr. Wander. "You don't find a relationship between the
football team and the band, like we enjoy, anywhere else."

Today is the first 'full' day of Band Camp, with all vets of the Trojan Marching Band returning to campus for rehearsal 8-12, and 6-9. We are looking forward to seeing everyone today!
Many thanks to members of the Color Guard, Percussion Section, and the Student Leadership Team for their great work this past week.

...can't stop the Trojan Marching Band! Regardless of weather today, band camp will go on as scheduled for our percussionists and our newcomers (incoming Freshmen and new marchers). Of course, we will work inside until the weather cooperates! Please be careful making your way to DGN today. We're looking forward to working with you!

27 members of the Marching Band's Leadership Team spent this past Thursday and Friday preparing music folders, setting up lockers, decorating the band room, and generally getting everything ready for Band Camp '09. Thanks to our dedicated team!
