Corrected July 4th Parade Flyer

Thank you to everyone who came out for our Parade Practice last night!

At the practice we distributed a flyer with details about the July 4th performance. We realized later that there were a couple of typos in the flyer.  It referred to "parades" (plural).  To clarify, we are only performing in one parade (the Downers Grove parade).  We apologize for the confusion.

The corrected flyer may be found here:

4th of July Parade Practice Tonight

Tonight is the first of only two practices to get ready for the Downers Grove Fourth of July Parade.  We will work together from 6:30 - 8:30 PM.  Please meet in the band room by 6:25 PM, ready for instructions.

Please make sure you wear closed-toe tennis/gym shoes (no sandals or flip flops!).  A water bottle is recommended.

If you have not yet printed out your music for the parade, you have two choices:  1) ask for a copy at tonight's practice, or 2) print one out yourself to look over this afternoon before coming!

Tour Registration Update

We are pleased to announce that we had a tremendous initial registration for the 2015 NYC Tour, and we currently have 187 persons registered to travel with the student group.  That mean's we have authorized our travel agency to proceed with first deposits being charged on July 1st.

Additionally, the "Fan Package" has nearly 50 persons signed up, and that trip is also a "go."

If your family has not yet registered for the tour, but you would still like to, it's  not too late!  Please let us know of your interest to add, and we will help get you set up.

We extend our thanks to our DGN Band Families for your enthusiasm and commitment to this performance tour.  Carnegie Hall ... here we come!
