Jazz Ensemble Swings at Chicago's Jazz Showcase!

Congratulations to the members of the DGN Jazz Ensemble on an exceptional performance tonight at Chicago's famed Jazz Showcase.

Founded in 1947, the Jazz Showcase has played host to every major figure in modern jazz history.  It was an honor for our DGN musicians to have the opportunity to perform on this stage and to open for Mark Colby and Frank Caruso.  Well done Jazz Ensemble!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

DGN Jazz Ensemble @ The Jazz Showcase Monday Night!

The DGN Jazz Ensemble is making a return trip to Chicago's famed "Jazz Showcase" on Monday, November 24.  Beginning at 7:30 PM, the band will open for Mark Colby and Frank Caruso.

Tickets are $10 at the door.  The Jazz Showcase is located at 806 S. Plymouth Ct., Chicago, IL 60605.

We hope you will join us at the Jazz Showcase to support our DGN musicians and experience jazz inside one of the most iconic jazz clubs in the nation.

Giving Tree Shopping / Wrapping Day

Members of the DGN Band Board spent a good portion of the day shopping for those less fortunate and in need this holiday season.

DGN & Herrick Band

DGN and Herrick Band students joined forces this evening in support of the Bloom's Angels Fundraiser / Herrick vs. Jefferson Basketball game.

Thanks to all the DGN Pep Band members who came out tonight to assist in this effort. Great job!

2014 DGN Band Invitational a Sonic Success!

Concert patrons were treated to a fabulous display of student musical achievement tonight at North High.  Members of the DGN Concert Band and DGN Wind Ensemble captivated the attention of tonight's audience with exemplary musicianship and passionate interpretations of compelling literature.  

A special congratulations is extended to the Herrick Middle School Band - directed by Jonathan Ball - who were our guests this year and opened tonight's concert.  Great job Herrick!
