2018-19 DGN Jazz Course Rosters

Thank you to all the students who expressed an interest in jazz band course enrollment, and auditioned for placement. We appreciate the time and energy that you invested in preparing the audition materials.

Our first class/rehearsal will be Wednesday, August 29, at 7:00 AM.

Jazz Call Backs (2018)

Thank you to all of our students who have been participating in Jazz auditions! We would like to hear a small number of students play again. The following students are asked to arrive at 7 AM on Tuesday, August 28th, for jazz call-back auditions. Students should have their instrument and be prepared to play any of the materials that were a part of the original audition.

Final Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Lab Band rosters will be posted on Tuesday, August 28th by 6 PM. The first class session for each band will be on Wednesday, August 29th, at 7 AM.

DGN Marching Band 2018 Debut Performance

Congratulations to the members of the 2018-19 Trojan Marching Band for a terrific debut performance this weekend! On the field, and in the stands, student musicians provided an energetic and captivating display of musicianship and spirit.  

Special appreciation is extended to the members of the Class of 2019 as North High celebrated the contributions of our seniors prior to the Pre-Game Show and Kick-Off.

Off To A Great Start! Band Camp Showcase 2018 #WeAreDGN

Congratulations to the members of the DGN Trojan Marching Band on the terrific work they accomplished over the past 8 days at Band Camp 2018, and for their energetic and musical performance at this evening's Band Camp Showcase! In addition to previewing the new 'Trojan Fanfare' and music/drill from this year's Harry Potter themed half-time show, members of the band demonstrated warm-up routines, marching fundamentals exercises, and marched the full Pre-Game show. 

A special shout-out is extended to new-member Harley Blanchard (Mellophone) who was named the 2018 Band Camp March-Off Champion. Harley is the first-ever 9th grade band member to be recognized with this honor!

Band Camp 2018 Opening Day

Despite some wet weather this morning, the band is out of the starting blocks and marching forward (and backward!) during our first two practices today. 

It's great to have our students back on campus and preparing for "Harry Potter and the DGN Trojan Marching Band." Tonight we add instruments!
