DGN Wind Ensemble at 2019 Graduation Concert

Congratulations to the musicians of the DGN A Cappella Choir, DGN Wind Ensemble, and Symphonic Orchestra Strings, for their terrific performances at the 2019 Graduation Concert!

Special kudos are extended to Senior Concerto Soloist Brian Perillo (euphonium), as well as all the Seniors in the Class of 2019.

"Graduation Concert" Tuesday Night at DGN

Don't miss the 2019 DGN "Graduation Concert" on Tuesday, April 30, featuring the A Cappella Choir, and Wind Ensemble, with Senior Concerto Soloist Brian Perillo.

The concert is FREE and begins at 7 PM in the Clarence Johnson Auditorium. Doors open for General Admission seating at 6:30 PM.

Out-of-town family and friends may view the concert live-stream on the DGN Fine Arts YouTube Channel. Video will also be available to view once the concert concludes. 

International Band Exchange Concert - Tonight!

Please join us for an evening of wonderful cross-cultural music on Wednesday April 17th at 7:00 PM in the Clarence Johnson Auditorium of Downers Grove North High School!

The concert will open with one selection each by the DGS Wind Ensemble and the DGN Wind Ensemble. Following our District 99 bands we will welcome to the stage our friends from Bietigheim-Bissingen, Germany to perform the remainder of the program. 

Don't miss what is sure to be an enriching musical experience. Invite your friends, family and neighbors. And join us afterward in the lobby for a reception honoring our guests.

German Victory - D99 Retains "Loser's Cup"

Congratulations to our friends from the Bietigheim-Bissingen Musikschule on their victory in the exchange's traditional "Loser's Cup" match. This year's friendly, moved indoors due to snow, was a hard-fought battle. While the American team led in shots-on-goal, the 3-1 victory for Deutschland was a testament to the Musikschule's passing skills and pin-point accuracy when pressing offensively.  

The Loser's Cup will remain in the United States for another year, until the District 99 Honors Band finds a way to pack it up and transport it to Germany for a 2020 rematch! 

Winter Guard Wraps Up Record Setting Season!

Congratulations to the members and instructional staff of the 2019 DGN Winter Guard, for an exceptional season that brought joy to so many. Thank you for sharing your artistry with our community, and inspiring so many through your passion for the arts. Bravo!
