Gingerbread Festival and Tree Lighting #WeAreDGN #99Learns

Congratulations and thank you to the members of the DGN Trojan Marching Band for their spirited holiday performance at this evening's Gingerbread Festival and Tree Lighting in downtown Downers Grove!

Performance Status Update

We are still "GO" with the Village of Downers Grove for this afternoon's performance.  Please note the following:

- No wooden instruments should be used outside. Clarinet players who do not have access to a plastic clarinet should leave their instrument at home, but should attend and march their spot in the parade to the tree.

- Drum Line members are asked to bring 1 or 2 old towels with them. We will put the towels in the van in the Library parking lot, and then use them at the end of the parade to dry off the drums. (We will leave drum skirts on the instruments today.)

Leadership Team members assigned to help load equipment at 3 PM are asked to report to the Stadium Entrance.

See everyone at 3:45 in the DG Library Parking lot.  Arrive with your instrument and music out of case, storm coat and Santa Hat on, and ready to step-off!

Thank you for your efforts on this rainy day!

Gingerbread Festival Performance Update

We have been in contact with the Village of Downers Grove.  As of 1 PM the Gingerbread Festival performance is still "GO." A final decision, based on rain, will be shared by 3 PM.  Dress in layers under your storm coat.  Warm gloves are encouraged.  Don't forget the traditional Santa Hat or red knit hat.
