Bad weather. Change in rehearsal times. Reminders about what to bring. These are all things that need a timely delivery system, and nothing these days beats a text message since nearly everyone is carrying a phone. We are currently piloting a text system with the marching band, and all band students and parents are welcome to subscribe. No accounts needed, very simple:
1. Send a text (SMS message) to: 40404
2. In the message body type this exactly: follow @dgnbands
Note: it is important that you leave a space between the word "follow" and the "@dgnbands".
You will get a response that invites you to open an account for more flexibility. You may simply ignore this.
Now, anytime the staff sends an update, you will receive a text. Couldn't be easier.
