One Day - Many Deadlines!

Federal Income Taxes are due on April 18th this year … but April 15 is an important “deadline” date for many DGN Band families.  We have combined multiple topics into one singular post for your convenience.  See caption headings in RED below.


Fine Arts Summer Study Grant Applications
Going to a music camp of some kind this summer?  Fine Arts Summer Study Grant applications are due Friday, April 15.  Please submit by 11:59 PM.  Details may be reviewed here …



Band Banquet Tickets
Ticket orders for the Band Banquet (May 7) should be postmarked by Friday, April 15.  Order forms were sent home via US Mail and email several weeks ago.  We look forward to seeing everyone at the Willowbrook Ballroom for a wonderful evening of food, fun, awards and dancing!


2016-17 DGN Band Tour Registration
2016 Walt Disney World Thanksgiving Parade of Bands Tour registrations are due Friday, April 15.  The question of “late registration” is addressed below.

My family was unable to attend the meeting. How can we get caught up-to-speed on tour details and learn how to register?

Step 1:  Visit the Tour Blog …


… and read the current posts that appear on the Blog.

In the left column you will see a link titled “Tour Kick-Off Meeting Presentation.”  Click on that link to view all of the information that was covered at the meeting.

Our family is interested in the tour, but not ready to register by April 15th.  Are we out of luck, or might we register late?
Our preference would be to have 100% of our interested families registered by April 15th because we have to plan the number of coach buses that will be required to transport the band to Orlando.  Once we know our number, we will plan accordingly.  Past that, there is the possibility a student could register late, but it will be “first come – first served” and contingent on their being extra seats available on the coach buses.  Said differently, it may be possible to add the tour after the official registration date, but we cannot guarantee availability. 


We’re ready to sign-up!  How do we do it?
If you were at the meeting, you have all the information you need for registering.  If you missed the meeting, we mailed the packet home to you.  If you can find that packet, you will find the needed registration information.

Alternatively, if you do not have the packet, go to the Tour Blog and follow the “Tour Registration” link in the left column and you will be redirected to the BRT site.  Create an account, and register.  (If you traveled with us to NYC last year, you already have an account, and you may simply log-in to your account to get started.)
